History of CNY Power Sports
Honda of Cortland" as people may remember it! CNY Power Sports was created in 2001 when it bought out the Honda shop on Port Watson Street in Cortland. Honda of Cortland had been in business for approximently 30, establishing the name very well in the area. When CNY purchased the old Honda shop, it was just a Honda and Arctic Cat dealer. Soon after, Yamaha came on board.
Then in November of 2004, CNY Power Sports moved into their brand new facility, at 3871 US Rt 11 in Polkville. Having the extra space allowed them to increase their sales, parts, and service personal by triple! It wasn't long after being in the new location, that we found a big demand in agricultural equipment. This is what sparked several companies to take interest in our facitlity and staff. In wasn't long after that Agco moved in with their line of Massey Ferguson tractors and hay tools. Other companies that came aboard included Landpride, Kuhn, Claas and Meyers.
In the past couple of years, CNY Power Sports has also taken interest in some European manufactures as well. There was a huge demand for the KTM product in our area. It took some time, but we were able to anounce their line of product to the store in late 2007. Then in 2008, we brought in a couple of lines of farm equipment that are not very well known here in the US, but very popular overseas. These companies being Valtra tractors and Pottinger hay equipment. We look forward to introducing these very sophisticated lines into the market in the upcoming years.
To sum it up, CNY Power Sports started out as a small company, and has proudly just about quadrupled its size! There isn't much that we can't do. We appreciate each day of business we have, and always look forward to serving our current and new customers!
